Original Screen Print by Adam Turman
Fat bikes came on to the cycling scene around 2004 or so (as far as I know). Surly Bikes released the Pugsley, a over-sized mountain bike that used regular mountain bike parts, but huge tires, that only fit into the frame of the bike because it was designed to accommodate such crazy wheels, for the time. Now fat bikes are seen all over and have advanced the technology so far that you can take your fatty just about anywhere.
This print was inspired by the first fat bikes, and the fun it is to ride them in any condition, anywhere you want to. Freedom! I pictured myself riding mine through a birch forest and exploring new trails and other surprises along the way. Just ask the cardinal. Ride on!
